Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie reveals 12 new character posters ahead of upcoming release

With excitement building for Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s release, Paramount Pictures has revealed a series of eye-catching character posters featuring the movie’s fan-favourite heroes and intriguing new villains.

The new poster showcases a group shot of the main cast, including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Robotnik.

The big reveal is the addition of Shadow and Gerald Robotnik, who will play major roles in the sequel.

Shadow stands out by appearing twice - once at the top, looming over the cast, and again at the bottom riding his Dark Rider motorcycle.

Known for his mysterious abilities and deep backstory, Shadow is set to be a major force in the film.

The official synopsis of the film reads, “Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen this holiday season in his most thrilling adventure yet.”

“Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before.”

“With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.”

Director Jeff Fowler is back, joined by a star-studded cast featuring Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally, and Lee Majdoub.

Alongside Reeves, the film introduces newcomers Alyla Browne and Krysten Ritter in undisclosed roles.

The first movie, released in February 2020, made $319.7 million worldwide, with $148.9 million from North America and $170.7 million internationally.

The second film came out in April 2022, earning $405.4 million globally, including $190.8 million domestically and $214.5 million from international markets.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara, and Hitoshi Okuno, with Haruki Satomi, Shuji Utsumi, Yukio Sugino, Jeff Fowler, Tommy Gormley, and Tim Miller serving as executive producers.
