Sony’s final Venom 3 Last Dance trailer reveals first look at mysterious Knull and Venom Fish

Sony Pictures has unveiled the final trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the final film in the franchise. 

The trailer opens with Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom on the run, hunted by both human forces and alien symbiotes from Venom’s home world.

Fans then get the first look at Knull, the ancient god of symbiotes, perched menacingly on a throne. With his taloned fingers and flowing white hair, the live-action Knull closely resembles his comic book counterpart.

As the God of Symbiotes, Knull possesses immense power, including superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to manipulate darkness and symbiotes.

Although there is no official information regarding the actor portraying Knull in the film, there have been rumblings that The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus may be playing the cosmic entity.

The trailer also showcases some of Venom’s new transformations, including the bizarre “Venom Fish” and more of the symbiote horse teased in previous footage. These wild new forms hint at an expansion of Venom’s shape-shifting abilities in his final cinematic outing.

According to the official description of the film, “In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy.”

“Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”

Alongside Hardy, Peggy Lu and Stephen Graham are also set to reprise their roles as Mrs. Chen and Patrick Mulligan, respectively. 

The cast also features newcomers Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, and Rhys Ifans in secret roles. 

Kelly Marcel, who wrote the screenplays for the previous two Venom films, makes her directorial debut with this final installment in the Venom trilogy.

Venom: The Last Dance is set to hit theaters on October 25, 2024.
