Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Will Poulter has revealed that, if asked, he would be extremely open to starring as Cal Kestis in a live-action “Star Wars” project.
Cal Kestis, voiced and played by Gotham actor Cameron Monaghan, gained immense popularity with fans of the franchise with its Star Wars Jedi video game series.
Despite not having actually played the video games, Poulter seems more than open to the idea.

While talking to Daniel Merrifield aka The Movie Dweeb, Poulter – when asked if he would play Cal Kestis – revealed that he “would not say no” as he’s already a huge fan of “Star Wars”.
When asked if he had played Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Poulter replied: “I haven’t.”
“I’m not a big gamer… gotta be honest,” he added.
Shortly after a quick and short description of Cal Kestis, Poulter was made aware that “a lot of people have been saying that you and him are quite similar, like, physically; in your face.”
When asked if he would ever consider joining the world of “Star Wars”, possibly to play a live-action Cal Kestis, Poulter enthusiastically responded: “I definitely would not say no.”

“I mean, I was a huge Star Wars fan as a kid,” he added.
He continued: “I can remember wearing a brown bathrobe and getting a lightsaber and, like, that being kinda – I think – I think I painted, like, a wrapping paper tube, you know like the cardboard tube?”
“I painted that neon and then brown bathrobe… and I kinda [mimics lightsaber movements with hands], oh yeah, I was living my Star Wars fantasy for a while then.”
“It was great.”
Although some were on board, most “Star Wars” fans in response called for Monaghan to play the live-action version of his Star Wars Jedi character.
“Why not just get the actor who plays him in the game, who his face is actually modelled after,” one wrote.
“Bro Cameron Monaghan literally does film work and looks the exact same as he does in the game,” another said.
“there happens to be this bloke i know called Cameron monaghan idk but he could be a good fit for cal idk tho it’s a stretch,” a third joked.
“There’s only one Cal Kestis, and there will only ever be one Cal Kestis,” a fourth chimed in with.
