Armie Hammer reveals he attempted to hook up with men after realising ‘women are the worst’

Actor Armie Hammer recently revealed that he once attempted to hook up with a man after feeling frustrated with women.

Hammer has played one part of a gay couple in the Oscar-winning romantic drama Call Me by Your Name.

On Monday’s episode of The Armie HammerTime Podcast, the actor revealed he was initially attracted to the man, whom he described as “handsome” and “French.”

However, he was put off by the man’s facial hair and overall physique.

The 38-year-old actor shared, “I tried hooking up with a dude one time.”

“Handsome, French, you know, the whole thing.”

“I was like, ‘Okay, this could work. Yeah, let’s try this.’”

As things progressed, certain aspects of the encounter caught him off guard.

“I started making out with him and I just remember being like, ‘God, beards! This thing is f–king rough. Like, how do I get in there?’”

Armie continued, “I remember I put my arms around him and I was like, ‘Oh my god and these shoulders are so wide. He’s so big.’”

But as things heated up, Hammer realized it wasn’t working for him.

“And it was kind of like getting hotter and heavier. But I was like, not even a twitch. Going through the motions, like not feeling anything.”

When his partner tried to take things further, Hammer decided to call it quits.

He said, “I was like, ‘You know what?’ ‘I gotta stop us here.’”

This is just one of many candid moments from the Death on the Nile star, who previously stepped out of the spotlight following allegations of cannibalism and sexual assault, both of which he has denied.

Recently, he also recounted an intense moment from a hunting trip on The Louis Theroux Podcast.

He clarified, “You don’t eat the whole heart. One of the traditions is you take a bite out of the heart. You’ve got all your buddies around you. They’re goading you on.”

Describing it as a “hyper-masculine rite of passage,” Hammer stressed that it had nothing to do with cannibalism or any kind of sexual gratification.

He added, “It’s sort of like an almost overly-charged male rite of passage when you go hunting for the first time. Everyone that I know who went hunting for their first time had to do something similar.”
