Some Billie Eilish fans are only just finding out that she was once good friends with Danielle Bregoli, better known as the “Cash me outside” girl and as Bhad Bhabie.
Although the two used to hang out, sharing snaps as well as the stage together on various occasions, their relationship seemingly went stale.
In 2019, Bregoli told Entertainment Tonight that the two initially began talking online before meeting in person at Bregoli’s house to mourn XXXTentacion on the day of his passing.
When asked by ET if the two were still friends in 2020, Bregoli revealed that she had effectively been ghosted by the “Ocean Eyes” singer.
Despite the sudden loss of contact, Bregoli theorised that “someone got into her ear about me and made her think that I was a bad person.”
She also theorised that perhaps Eilish’s immense rise in popularity and success could have had a part to play, which she expressed is “perfectly fine.”
“I understand that, but it sucks when you have a friend and they just disappear.”
“I’m not mad at her, she’s not mad at me.”
“It is what it is,” she added.
Now, around half a decade later, fans of both artists are only just finding all of this out.
In a resurfaced video posted on TikTok, the two can be seen bantering on stage, where Bregoli can be seen tossing water over Eilish during a Lil Yachty show.
“Billie Eilish and Bhad Bhabie were best friends?” one fan wrote, along with a crying emoji.
“Danielle and Billie being friends makes so much sense, to be honest,” a second added.
“Wait, when was this?” a stunned third asked.
“I genuinely think Billie was mad,” a fourth theorised before being met with various replies stating that the two female artists were just having a laugh together.
