Demi Moore reveals fans have been mispronouncing her name for years

Hollywood icon Demi Moore recently shared something surprising about her name.

The 62-year-old actress revealed in a recently resurfaced clip from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that fans have been mispronouncing her name for the past four decades.

While most people say “Deh-mee,” like singer Demi Lovato, Moore clarified that her name is actually pronounced “Duh-mee.”

Fans were stunned to learn they’d been saying it wrong all this time.

On the show, Moore pointed out that while she and singer Demi Lovato share the same first name, they pronounce it differently by choice.

She said, “Demi and I had a great conversation about this because she’s from Texas and I’m from New Mexico, so our families say our names the same way.”

She added, “But we individually both pronounce it differently. It works better with our last names. ‘Like, “Deh-mee Lovato” sounds really good. And “Duh-mee” Moore sounds really good.”

Her revelation sparked plenty of buzz on social media, with fans reacting in shock and humour.
