Thanos may have been snapped out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Josh Brolin still hasn’t ruled out a comeback for the Mad Titan.

The actor, who played the iconic villain across multiple Marvel films, including Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, recently addressed whether he’d be up for returning to the role that dominated the MCU’s Infinity Saga.

Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Brolin shared that he’d jump at the chance to suit up as Thanos again, if Marvel ever asked.

Reflecting on his time in the MCU, Brolin said, “The Thanos thing, if they called me in London right now and said, ‘Let’s do this,’ I’d be like, ‘I’ll be there tomorrow.’”

He added, “Of course, they’re going to come up with something really fun… That was a ten-year building kind of thing.”

“That was its own kind of book-ended deal. And I don’t know what they’re going to do, but I’m sure it’ll be interesting.”

Despite the character’s definitive death in Endgame, Marvel has already shown that time travel and multiverse twists can open doors for old faces to return.

So a surprise appearance isn’t entirely off the table, especially with Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars on the horizon.

In the conversation, Brolin also talked about his strong connection with the Russo Brothers, who are back to direct the next Avengers movies, and his close friendship with Robert Downey Jr., who’s now taking on the role of Doctor Doom, the MCU’s new main villain.

While Brolin is not currently attached to Avengers: Doomsday, the MCU is no stranger to surprise reveals.

With the multiverse wide open, the idea of Thanos sharing screen space with Doom isn’t out of the question, especially if Brolin’s phone rings.
