Michael B. Jordan says he ‘believes’ in Jonathan Majors and ‘would love’ him to return for Creed 4

Michael B. Jordan has said he hopes to team up with Jonathan Majors again for Creed IV despite the legal troubles surrounding his former co-star.

Jordan, who directed and starred in 2023’s Creed III, shared with The Hollywood Reporter that he is keen to continue working with Majors.

“He was arrested. He went to court. He did what he was supposed to do,” Whoopi Goldberg says.

“I’m not sure what else there is.”

“I would love to make Creed IV together (…) among other projects,” Jordan shared.

Majors played Damian Anderson, Donnie Creed’s childhood friend-turned-rival in the third film. Their intense chemistry was a highlight of the movie, which was both a box office hit and a critical success.

Majors was found guilty in 2024 of third-degree assault and second-degree harassment of his ex-girlfriend, British dancer Grace Jabbari.

Following the conviction, Marvel dropped him from his role as Kang the Conqueror.

Despite this, Jordan and other Hollywood names have voiced their support for Majors’ return to the industry.

Matthew McConaughey, who worked with Majors on 2018’s White Boy Rick, also backed the actor.

He earlier said, “I’ve known and know him as someone who is continuously striving to improve as a human, a man and an actor. I believe in him.”

Majors is now eyeing a comeback. He recently shared that he is in talks for a new superhero project, though not connected to Marvel or DC.

Majors stated, “No relation to the big guys, DC or Marvel, but a pretty wicked story. I’m glad to be reading.”

He has also been in talks to star in Merciless, an independent revenge thriller directed by Martin Villeneuve, brother of Dune director Denis Villeneuve.
