Sydney Sweeney claps back at body shamers demanding she go ‘back to the gym’

Sydney Sweeney seemingly rose to A-Lister status overnight, however, she has been working hard endlessly since her appearance in the tv series Everything sucks!

Going on to star in The Handmaid’s Tale, Euphoria and films like Anyone But You and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Sweeney has been unstoppable.

Her intense work schedule doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

Sweeney is set to star in The Housemaid adaptation, the Rob Howard thriller Eden, Season 3 of Euphoria, and the unnamed upcoming Christy Martin biography.

The 27-year-old actress has undergone a body transformation in preparation for her role in David Michôd’s new film, in which she will portray the 90s boxing sensation Christy Martin.

Sweeney shared on Instagram back in October, showcasing her transformation and muscles.

However, recently, Sweeney decided to publicly call out the hate comments about her transformation and the people who thought they had the right to comment about her body.

The White Lotus star shared a video highlighting the hateful comments, calling her “frumpy”, “chunky” and “definitely not a supermodel.”

Sweeney posted a video following these comments of her working hard in the gym, pushing tyres, boxing, and flexing her muscle gains.

Sweeney made it clear that she will work hard for the roles she is passionate about and won’t let the haters get to her.

Other industry stars commented on her video, praising her dedication and frowning on the people who hated on her appearance.

“Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart commented: “It’s always wild to see people publicly out-themselves as pieces of s*** with comments like that.”

“You look incredible and your dedication to your project is very inspiring.”

Back in May Sweeney shared that this role was both “physically and emotionally demanding,” but was determined and excited to “challenge” herself.
