Terrifer 3 leaves woman ‘fighting for her life’ receiving ‘high heart rate’ warnings in screening

Terrifier 3, released in cinemas on Friday 11th October featuring Art the Clown, has already become a huge hit with fans.

Director Damien Leone told Variety: “This is going to be hopefully the scariest and the darkest.”

“I want it to feel as if the audience coming into this one isn’t as comfortable with Art the Clown as they feel they are now. I want to see if I can make them really scared of him again.”

Fans have been coming out “vomiting“, “gagging” and “passing out” – and now one woman has had numerous health warnings during the screening.

The woman claimed on social media platform X that her Apple Watch gave her numerous heart rate warnings.

“Was fighting for my life tonight during Terrifier 3 and loved every second,” she wrote.

According to the American Heart Association, it’s normal to see your heart rate go up when you feel “frightened” or when you think you’re “in danger.”

“The brain triggers a surge of adrenaline, which makes the heart beat faster and pushes the body instantly into ‘fight-or-flight’ mode.”

“It also affects the liver and pancreas, triggers perspiration and pushes blood toward major muscle groups.”

“You can have a sudden cardiac-related event related to an adrenaline surge, but I think it would be a stretch to say you could get that from someone coming in a werewolf costume to your front door.”

“This is the kind of thing that you can’t prepare for.”

“If it happens, it happens, and you hope your body doesn’t overreact to that event.”

“Swings of emotion and roller coasters are OK for people who are young, who have a healthy heart.”

“But certainly, in people with pre-existing risk factors or pre-existing cardiovascular disease, you want to reduce the environments in which you might be suddenly stressed like this.”

So perhaps those who are known to have heart problems should avoid watching the Terrifier movies, however, you’ve been warned – so it’s up to you!
