Chris Rock says he ‘hates’ Jake Paul after his divisive Mike Tyson fight amid savage speech

Chris Rock hilariously roasted Jake Paul’s controversial boxing win against Mike Tyson during a recent Saturday Night Live monologue.

Appearing on the 50th season of SNL, Rock didn’t hold back as he pointed out the glaring age gap between the two fighters.

The match, held on November 15, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, ended with Paul defeating Tyson by unanimous decision after eight rounds.

The event, which streamed live on Netflix, drew an estimated 65 million households, earning Paul $40 million while Tyson pocketed $20 million.

Rock exclaimed during his act, “Jake Paul beating Mike Tyson, what the hell? Who is this Jake Paul?” Rock said of Paul. “27-year-old punching a 60-year-old man in the face.

“Is this what the white man has reduced himself to? Stop it.”

“Who is he going to fight next? Morgan Freeman?”

Rock didn’t stop with the age disparity. 

He added, “I hate Jake Paul.”

“I’ve got landlord-level hate for him.”

“I hate him like cocaine hates monogamy!”

Speaking to Boxing Scene, Jake Paul has brushed off the criticism.

He said in response, “What do I care that people have to say about anything that I do?”

“If anyone in my life has something to say, then they’ll text me. If you don’t have my number, then I don’t give a f*** about you.”

Since Jake Paul’s unanimous decision victory, rumours have swirled about whether the fight against Mike Tyson was rigged.

Social media has been flooded with conspiracy theories, including claims that Paul gave Tyson subtle signals before throwing punches.

Paul and his company, Most Valuable Promotions, have firmly denied any accusations of fraud or fight-fixing.
