The Interstellar filmmaker has been in constant headlines over the past month as details of his next film emerge.
The latest addition to the already star-studded cast is none other than Emmy winner Jon Bernthal, known for his roles in The Punisher and The Bear.
Bernthal won his Emmy for his role as Michael Berzatto in the series The Bear.
After Nolan’s last Oscar-winning film, Oppenheimer, Universal announced his next project will be an adaptation of Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey.

“The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to Imax film screens for the first time.”
The rest of the cast includes Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o and Charlize Theron.
Holland has been cast as the lead role of the film, while the characters of the rest of the cast have been widely debated.
Damon is predicted to play Odysseus with Zendaya playing Athena, however nothing has been confirmed.
The poem tells the story of the King of Ithaca, Odysseus, and his difficult journey home after the Trojan War to reunite with his wife Penelope.
Nolan’s film is set to start shooting next month with a release date some time in 2026.
However, as well as starring in Nolan’s next film, Bernthal is set to reprise his role as Frank Castle (The Punisher) in Daredevil: Born Again.
The series will follow and include the events from the original Netflix series, as well as retaining the original cast.
