Jenna Ortega does not seem keen on joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe despite technically having been there already.

The Wednesday star recently explained that she actually had a small part in Iron Man 3, though fans may have missed it.

In a recent chat with ET, Ortega was asked if she would like to be in a Marvel movie.

She responded, “I did it once. It was one of my first jobs I ever did. They took all my lines out. I’m in Iron Man 3. I take up the frame. I have one leg. And I’m the vice president’s daughter.”

Ortega added that not only were her lines cut, but her name was also left out of the credits.

In a disappointed tone, she said, “They even took my name away. I count that, and then I move on.”

Sitting next to her during the interview was Ant-Man star Paul Rudd, who seemed surprised by the story.

He told Ortega that Marvel would be “lucky” to have her in one of their films, suggesting she might still have a shot at returning.

Rudd said, “Marvel is very good at laying those bread crumbs and so it might very well be that you come back.”

“They are going to create something for you because they should be so lucky to have Jenna Ortega in their franchise.”

But it seems Ortega is not open to joining the MCU yet.

She currently has other priorities.

For now, She’s busy building on her scream queen reputation.

While speaking with Collider, Ortega dropped new details about Wednesday Season 2, which will once again see her collaborating with director Tim Burton.

She teased, “Visually, I can say we have some of the most fun we’ve ever had.”

Ortega mentioned that the new season leans into horror even more, referencing films like Carrie, Prom Night, and Burton’s Beetlejuice.

She hinted at one standout episode heavily inspired by slasher films, plus a strange moment involving her on-screen brother, Pugsley.

Ortega said, “It’s crazy to talk about one frame like this, but there is a frame of Pugsley rolling his eyes back with this contraption around his head… and it reminds me so much of Full Metal Jacket.”
