How the Grinch Lost Christmas! ???
Despite Jim Carrey not exactly being a fan of the gruelling task that was becoming a live-action Grinch in Ron Howard’s 2000 classic, he isn’t against returning to the role… under one condition.
The Ace Ventura star spoke to ComicBook and was asked if there was a character he’d love to ever play again, given the chance.
“Anything is possible in this world,” he began responding.

“Oh, gosh, you know, if we could figure out the Grinch,” he added.
“The thing about it is, on the day, I do that with a ton of makeup and can hardly breathe.”
“It was an extremely excruciating process.”
“The children were in my mind all the time,” he said.
“‘It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids.’”
“And now, with motion capture and things like that, I could be free to do other things.”
“Anything is possible in this world.”

In an interview with Graham Norton previously, he revealed that they needed to bring in a professional to help him deal with the pain of wearing the heavy green costume and the tedious makeup regime.
“When I did The Grinch, literally the make up was like being buried alive everyday,”
Adding that the “first day was 8 and a half hours, I went back to my trailer and put my leg through the wall, and I told Ron Howard I couldn’t do the movie.”
He also revealed that they hired a gentleman “who is trained to teach CIA operatives, how to endure torture.”
“So that’s how I got through The Grinch,” he joked.
