Mike Tyson recently opened up about his high-profile fight against Jake Paul, which took place on November 15, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Despite losing by unanimous decision after eight rounds, Tyson shared an emotional and optimistic message on social media, describing the event as a personal win.
Reflecting on his return to the ring, Tyson said he had “no regrets” about fighting again, even at 58 years old.

The wrestler posted on X, “This is one of those situations when you lost but still won.”
“I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.”
The fight came after a tough year for Tyson, who faced serious health issues that nearly kept him out. In June, he suffered a major medical scare, requiring several blood transfusions and experiencing significant weight loss.
He further added, “I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.”
The event drew a massive crowd of over **72,300 fans**, with millions more watching worldwide.
Tyson said competing in front of such a huge audience, and especially having his children there to see him go the distance, was something he deeply treasured.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”

Jake Paul also shared his excitement on X, celebrating the fight’s massive viewership and teasing what’s next in his boxing journey.
Paul wrote, “Record breaking. Love you Mike.”
“Numbers don’t lie.”
“Announcement coming soon…”
The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul claimed victory over 58-year-old Mike Tyson, though the fight itself wasn’t the most thrilling for those who tuned in on Netflix.
Tyson won the first two rounds, but he seemed to tire out as the fight progressed - a clear reminder of the challenge faced when squaring off against someone less than half your age.
Paul threw a total of 278 punches, connecting with 78 of them, while Tyson managed just 97 punches, landing 18.
