Scream 7 adds Yellowstone spinoff star as daughter to Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott

Yellowstone spinoff 1883 star Isabel May has been cast as the daughter of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott in Scream 7, as shared by Deadline Hollywood.

Although it’s likely she will be joining her mother in the fight against Ghostface, fans will know by now that “everyone’s a suspect,” so don’t rule May out as the next slasher.

This news follows recent anticipation of Matthew Lillard’s return as the co-original franchise villain Stu Macher, which he further fueled when revealing his desire to wear the mask again.

As reiterated by Deadline, former Scream stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega will not be returning as sisters Sam and Tara Carpenter.

Instead, Scream 7 is expected to see various familiar faces return to the fight, with Campbell as famous protagonist Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers.

Although casting is still underway, the sequel is already set to hit the big screen on February 27, 2026.

Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original Scream, returns to direct this chapter.

While on the Drew Barrymore Show around Halloween time last month, Lillard opened up about his desire to return as Stu Macher.

Despite his character being crushed by an old-fashioned television by none other than Sidney herself, Lillard – like many fans – believes Stu Macher is still lingering in the shadows.

“Listen, Stu is definitely alive,” Lillard told Barrymore.

“I mean, my character Stu [Macher] is definitely alive, right?”

When asked if he would like to return, Lillard shared: “That would be fun, wouldn’t it?”

“I would love it.”

“Look, if it made sense, if it made sense for the franchise, if, you know, if Kevin Williamson (Scream 7 director) liked it then sure, obviously.”
