Seth Rogen admits he doesn’t want children because it ‘does not sound fun’

"If we had kids, we could not be doing this.”

Seth Rogen has once again set the record straight on why he and his wife choose to remain child-free.

The Pineapple Express star has been quite open about his decision not to have children, even after 10 years of marriage.

In a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show, Rogen explained that he and his wife, actress and writer Lauren Miller, are content without kids and parenthood doesn’t appeal to them.

The 42-year-old actor and comedian known for films like Knocked Up and Superbad,  shared that being child-free allows him to focus on his various projects without the constraints that come with raising children.

He stated, “People are always like… ‘How do you do so much?’ The answer is I don’t have kids. I have nothing else to do.”

He also mentioned that Miller is even less inclined toward having children.

When the Canadian actor was asked if his wife of over ten years felt the same way about not having kids.

Rogen replied, “I would say she wants kids less than I do.”

“I could probably be talked into it; she’s like ‘no.’”

Stern asked Rogen if it would have been a deal breaker for their relationship if his wife, Lauren Miller, had wanted kids.

Rogen admitted he could probably “wrap [his] head around it” if that had been the case, but since Miller feels strongly about not having children, they’ve decided to remain child-free.

He also added that this choice is one of the reasons they “have so much fun” together.

The couple enjoys their lifestyle, which they feel would be significantly altered by the responsibilities of parenthood.

Rogen humorously described their weekends, “We’re laying in bed on Saturday mornings smoking weed, watching movies naked.”

“If we had kids, we could not be doing this.”

Seth Rogen made his acting debut in Judd Apatow’s 1999 cult series Freaks and Geeks, where his role as the sarcastic Ken Miller showcased his comedic talent.

Though short-lived, the show gained a loyal following and featured future stars like James Franco and Jason Segel.

Rogen went on to become a comedy icon, starring in hits like Pineapple Express and Bad Neighbours.

He also co-wrote Superbad with longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg, which cemented his reputation as both a gifted actor and writer.
