Venom: The Last Dance star Tom Hardy has confirmed that he “100%” wants to fight Sony’s Spider-Man, as Venom, in a movie despite his upcoming threequel being his last instalment.
Hardy shared his desire while discussing his upcoming Venom movie at this year’s New York Comic Con (2024), in which he expressed his wish to take on Marvel’s famous web-slinger.
This comes after years of teasing by both Sony and Marvel Studios, with Tom Holland first making a Spidey appearance in Hardy’s second Venom movie on a TV screen being watched by Venom.
Hardy then later appeared in the stinger of Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, with a piece of Venom seemingly being left behind in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, years later, Hardy says he’s ready to fight Spider-Man… as soon as possible.
“I would love to fight Spider-Man,” Hardy optimistically told the audience.
In fact, he says he would “like to fight him now”.
“I would like to fight him now.”
“I’m happy to fight Spider-Man, today,” he added.
After his comedic teases, he affirmed that he truly meant it.
“In a movie, 100 per cent.”
“I’m well up for it,” he continued.
“I would never say never.”
Hardy’s latest tease follows his previous comments on refusing to inform fans if Spider-Man makes an appearance in his upcoming Venom movie, The Last Dance.
Although the two iconic Marvel character’s live-action matchup has yet to be seen, in terms of Holland and Hardy, it’s clear that the actors are keen on getting it going sooner rather than later.
However, it should be noted that Hardy could know more than he is leading fans to believe, as both studios are famously known for having their stars stay tight-lipped on future spoilers.
Although unconfirmed, all potential plans may be revealed in Sony’s third Venom movie, which drops in theatres on December 13.
Stay tuned for further updates on this story.
