Disney’s upcoming Malcolm in the Middle series revival will officially see the return of even more original stars.
However, somebody else will now play Dewey.
As per Variety, Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield have signed on to reprise their brotherly roles as Francis and Reese.

Erik Per Sullivan, who originally played Dewey, will not be returning.
Instead, the torch will be passed to Fargo actor Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.
The series will consist of only four episodes, so it could be safe to assume that the entire family will appear throughout the revival.
This news comes just one month after reports of a non-binary character being a part of the storyline, one of Malcolm’s siblings, to be exact.
Now, non-binary actor Vaughan Murrae has been confirmed to be playing Malcolm’s youngest sibling, Kelly – adding fuel to the reports.
Riverdale actor Anthony Timpano has been cast as Malcolm’s youngest brother.
Hunters actor Keeley Karston will play Malcom’s daughter, Leah.
Kiana Madeira is also said to be playing Malcolm’s girlfriend, Tristan.

Disney previously announced that Frankie Muniz will be reprising the role of Malcolm alongside his original TV parents, Jane Kaczmarek and Bryan Cranston.
Malcolm’s youngest, potentially non-binary, sibling Kelly is described as “the youngest child of Lois and Hal, who is self-sufficient, gets good grades and already wiser than most of the family.”
Leah is described as “the daughter of Malcolm and has the same sarcastic humor, same impulsiveness and the same frighteningly high intelligence as him, but she’s far more sensitive and emotional.”
