Yesterday on Wednesday 16th of October, it was announced that the tragic passing of former One Direction star Liam Payne had passed away in Argentina.
A statement from local police revealed that they had received reports of a man who was acting “aggressive” with assumptions that he was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Alberto Crescenti, head of the state of emergency medical system, issued a statement that Payne had fallen into the hotel’s courtyard.

“The alarm was raised at 5.04 pm local time saying a person was lying on an internal patio at Casa Sur. At 5.11 pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead.”
“Afterwards we found out he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately, the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him,” he added.
Celebrities have since taken to social media platforms to share their condolences for the sudden passing of the singer.
Dermot O’Leary shared a post on Instagram with a picture of himself and Liam on the X-Factor with it captioned.
“The worst news. I remember him as a 14-year-old turning up to audition on The X Factor, and blowing us away singing Sinatra. He just loved to sing.”
“He was always a joy, had time for everyone, polite, grateful, and was always humble.”

Paris Hilton wrote on social media platform X,
“So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing😢 Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. 🙏 RIP my friend🥺”
Harry Styles’ mother, Anne Twist, shared her heartbreak over Liam’s death.
Posting on Instagram an image of a broken heart emoji with a black background captioned with 3 simple yet tragic words. “Just a boy… 💔”
